Brazilian Distributed Generation - Numbers and Trends

The market for distributed solar generation in Brazil has been growing rapidly since its regulation in 2012. From 2016 to 2017, the number of installed solar generators has tripled and by 2018 should at least double. 78% are residential facilities but 43% of the amount of solar panels have been installed in shops and small businesses. What to expect from this market in 2018 and 2019? What are the opportunities? What are the challenges?
