SUMMARY

Last year, China installed in excess of 13 GW, more than any other country ever before. Undiminished political commitment has led to the creation of sound regulatory framework conditions, designed to encourage the local deployment of solar PV applications. Ambitious installation targets, actively pursued industry consolidation and the push towards distributed generation is creating a host of business opportunities in the coming years until the end of the current 12th Five-Year-Plan (2011-2015) and beyond.
