According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy(MNRE), at the end of June 2023, India's total renewable energy installed capacity stood at about 130 GW, of which 70 GW was solar. India set itself a target of 280 GW of solar capacity by 2030, and this would mean that India has to install another 30 GW every year for the next 7 years to meet the target. In this session, experts from the Government and Industry will discuss about the means to achieve the ambitious goal of 280 GW of solar capacity by 2030 and what are the headwinds and tailwinds from a solar project development perspective.
